If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance and make improvements. So after my experience playing with the toy, I’d still say it is a really cool toy, unlike anything else we own, but it isn’t without its flaws. When I began to hear all the holiday buzz about Spin Master's latest interactive creation, the Flutterbye fairy, I was immediately taken back to the memories from my childhood. With an unsuspectingly simple design, at face, the Flutterbye promises to 'fly' (hover, really) just a foot above your child's outstretched hand, for several minutes on a single charge. We did knock a fair few ornaments over in the process of learning how to use it though so do clear some space! However, blocking some types of cookies may impact your experience of the site and the services we are able to offer. At this point, you need to unplug the fairy from the base, and then find a rather tiny and hard-to-spot switch on the fairy’s skirt.

Scarlett has now put Stardust Fairy on her Christmas list, as there are a few different fairies to collect. I had a look at the instructions and added the batteries, it does require 6 x AA batteries that are not included.

As we have played with her more, we have learned that if you give her a minute, she often will drift back down for you. This is a little loud, and does sound like a whirring/churning sound, some young kids may not care for. Once we figured out the Flutterbye control techniques, it was rather addictive to fly the fairy around the house. Our policy requires consent for cookies that are used for measurement purposes and consent for the use of personal data for personalised ads.You need a little practice to learn the hand control but it is not definitely going to be a longer before you learn to guide her.

The spinning skirt is constructed from a soft material so even if it hits your beloved widescreen it won’t damage it! SO pleased with the time scale on this product t was worried we may not have it for Christmas so very relieved. When the fairy descends put your hand under the fairies legs, it doesn’t have to be too close and she will flying upwards again. When I brought the fairy home from the PCMag Labs for her to test, she couldn't wait to create the "magic" for herself. It really is a Beautiful doll, bought it for our daughters birthday, followed the instructions and charged it up, she flew lovely for the first three short lived flights (each time crashing into the ceiling or Walls and shooting down to earth like a rocket).Heres what Alice Said… “Firstly these fairies are really pretty, they have lovely hair and beautiful wings. Well, it arrived a few weeks ago on one of those rare afternoons while the girls were both sound asleep. I bought 2 fairys for my lil girls and they do the same thing … They r really disappointed … Wouldn’t want no one to but one and it be like ours they can’t even play with them because they hit the ceiling and fall to the floor. It was a pitiful flight, but if I had fully read the instructions I would have realized that the top of the fairy also has a sensor to help her know where the ceiling is. When she's not dancing across the sky, this pretty pixie sits elegantly on her display stand which doubles up as a charger.
