About this deal

If it’s a programmable controller, the power can be a little lower than the controller power. However, the voltage should be the same as the motor and the battery. A brushless electronic 48 Volt 2000 watt 60amp speed controller for use with wheel hub motors in a wide variety of electric vehicles

Ebike Controller? Find Out Here! - E-Bike Review What Is An Ebike Controller? Find Out Here! - E-Bike Review

E-bike Controllers are the components often sealed in a protective box that connects the electrical parts of an e-bike. It is often referred to as the brain of an electric bike. Probably the most popular type of motors and controllers among e-bikes is BLDC (Brushless DC Motors). These are the brushless motors with permanent magnets. I will endeavour to get some detailed pics of the display and start testing out continuity where I can.The core function of an electric bike controller is to take all the inputs from all the electric components ( throttle, speed sensor, display, battery, motor, etc.) and then determine what should be signaled in return to them (motor, battery, display). If you want a non-programmable controller, ensure the control voltage is the same as the motor voltage. Also, the controller power should be the same as the motor power. It can slightly be more at times. This means if the motor voltage is 12V then the controller should be 12V. An ebike controller is a crucial component in any electric bike. Without a controller, the motor will not run; thus, the bike will not start. If your ebike controller suddenly malfunctioned, how would you identify the problem? Are there any methods or procedures to follow when testing an e-bike controller? Does an e-bike controller require replacing or repairing? Driving type - E-bike controllers have two different kinds of waveforms, a sinusoidal waveform and a rectangle waveform. If you choose a sine wave controller you can expect them to be more predictable and smooth, they are also better for uphill control when riding, rectangle forms on the other hand are lower priced and can be used with different kinds of motors. They are however much noisier. Please remember that when riding over rough terrains such as sand or gravel, or uphill, the engine is subject to increased stress. However, if these high loads are short and unsystematic, then they will not cause any damage to the elements of the motor.

Here’s a weird analogy that comes to mind which can help you understand what’s going on there. Imagine that you’re walking past the crowd of people and each one of them pushes you forward. As soon as the next person sees you, they stretch out their hand and push you forward. More or less the same thing is happening in the motor. Sorry for the weird analogy😊. They are quite simple to operate and use. BLDC is the most popular type of e-bike controller. The Brushless DC motor controller with hall sensor This hall sensor is a transducer that works based on the principles of the hall effect. It determines the position of the vehicle Rotor. It does this according to the stator–The fixed or non-moving parts of the motor. Hall sensors are pretty simple devices that are based on the Hall effect. They determine the position of the rotor relative to the stator. The rotor is the rotating part of the motor and the stator is the fixed part.

If the ebike motor controller houses a hall sensor, the controller will be dual-mode or hall sensor. The sensor detects rotation in the motor and the controller produces the voltage based on the signals from the sensor. So far however, I've not been able to find a like unit, therefore I'd need to know what colours are what as they currently don't match all the units I've seen online. You need to show the control panel and more detail of the wires on the connector if you want an explanation about them. Shuts down the motor when the voltage is too high. It prevents overcharge. The controller regularly monitors signals from the battery. When the voltage is too high, it sends signals to the motor to shut down the ebike. 3. Low-voltage protection
